I feel so incredibly grateful and humbled to announce:
I HAVE BEEN ELECTED SBA STUDENT BODY PRESIDENT OF RUTGERS SCHOOL OF LAW – NEWARK FOR THE 2015-2016 ACADEMIC SCHOOL YEAR!!
First and foremost, I would like to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for his grace and mercy. It is all because of Him that I am where I am today, and I will always be mindful of that. The fact that he continuously looks beyond all of my imperfections, and highlights the good in me makes me forever loyal.
I would like to thank my family for being my rock; my mom, grandparents, aunt, and cousin as well as my extended family for encouraging me when I feel inferior and teaching me that my faith can carry me through any situation. All of the sacrifices my family made while raising me, and all the struggles I witnessed them endure and overcome, makes me the man I am today.
I would like to thank all of my friends and colleagues at Rutgers School of Law- Newark who voted and supported me TWICE! The fact that you all believe in me and my ability to lead the student body this upcoming year makes me all the more motivated.
The road ahead is a long one, and the future is always an uncertain one. However, I do believe that although we may not have total control over the future, we do have the resources and knowledge within ourselves to prepare for it in order to increase the likelihood of a brighter one.
I can’t wait to work with you all this coming year to continue the progression toward a better Rutgers School of Law – Newark.
